The inaugural meeting of the Richmond County Astronomy Club took place on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 on the main campus of the Richmond Community College, in Hamlet, North Carolina. Lee Building Classroom 6. Five people were in attendance. We discussed options for future meetings and it was decided the second Tuesday of the month would be good. We also discussed the possibilities of having some outdoor astronomy events at the college. The first meeting was informal discussions of astronomy software,and dark sky sites and a technical discussion of Keplers links shown at the meeting below. Also discussed supporting the Town Creek Indian Mound star part and the Richmond County 4-H event in Ellerbe.
