I am still amazed at what signals we get from a portable antenna! It only took me 50:minutes to set up from when I arrived until my first QSO. When I heard a CQ on ten from Namibia. I had to respond. I mere 7,462 miles away. I decided to call CQ on ten and picked up an aeronautical mobile over Raleigh. The father was the pilot and son co-pilot. Both hams. I had to ask questions.
