I decided to go after imaging more objects instead of exposure time. The software with the Seestar is great but i recommend a good star atlas to be used when you observe. I am using “Objects in the Heavens” by Peter Birren (KB9SYC). Order from here. When I am at home I have a limited range to look at due to trees. With the book I can see what objects are visible.
Fancy mobile setup
Yesterday I activated US-3848 Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve 6 SSB 6 CW in 39 minutes used the 20 meter hamtenna. After the activation I participated in the FCVET amateur radio exams in Wendell, NC we had our biggest number of applicants (14) to date for that location. Thanks to all those who volunteers to be an examiner.

Thanks to the Cape Fear Amateur Radio Society for allowing me to attend this STEM event at Fayetteville State University. Enjoyed seeing the students engaged in amateur radio. Looking forward to many of them for getting their amateur radio license!

Thanks to all the hunters and P2P. Not my best antenna installation but I made the activation. Nice not go need Tuner for 10, 17, 20, 40. Didn’t try 75.
Thanks to the astronomers and the visitors for coming to the September 2024 gathering. We got to see the moon and M13. The International Space Station even flew over the square.
