Amateur Radio or Astronomy How to Choose?

Amateur Radio, Astronomy

I was doing astronomy when I discovered amateur radio. I was at a remote location and a friend had to call home and back in the 70’s there were no cell phones. A friend had this hand held radio that he was able to call out with. I ended up getting my license. Anyway this was the first time I combined the two activities at a park I wasn’t camping at. The radio is a 30 year old Icom 706 MarkII G and the telescope is a 2024 Seestar S50 smart telescope.  It is a really nice telescope easy to set up and use
