This activation was for the scout group OARS – Occoneechee Amateur Radio Society. The scouts wanted to learn about setting up a station they are all licensed. Chris Cancilla (W4CEC) and me (N4MQU) was able to activate NC K-2755 William B Umstead State Park. It was my first time at that park. We were doing fine until Chris’s battery died I was able to recover by switching to my battery. We had a couple of visitors. I couldn’t find my POTA flag. I hope it is stuck in the car somewhere and I didn’t leave it. Thanks for reading n4mqu
